I agree with Matt on the good post however I wanted to add that creates "content rich discussion" to that. Discussion that has some quality information to it. I get tired of reading "fluff" - I don't have time for fluff.

Which leads me to the bad posts:

I understand that some of the groups request an introduction but I'm tired of seeing so many "Hi my name is ____, I'm so glad I just joined this network." And then not much else or basically and ad for their business. I think maybe the other reason I don't even bother reading most of the newbie posts anymore is that it seems like a lot of them never post again and are just posting to get a free ad.

There are also seem to be some posts that are ads lightly masked as posts. I know that we all tend to talk a lot about what we know best and a lot of time that may be related to our businesses but there's a fine line where it can turn into an ad instead of anything worth discussing.
