Ron, I use what we call a virtual assistant. Patti is an amazing person who works in my office one afternoon per week. Now, some of the duties that she might perform are filing (I hate filing), catch up on the books, cold calling to set up new appointments or perhaps follow-up calls, processing of petty cash or cpaturing of business cards (I have a card scanner). All in all, Patti is well worth the $25 per hour that she charges, because she is a fresh voice on the phone, a fresh pair of eyes doing the filing and a fresh look at the petty cash. Generally, by the time I get to doing all of this stuff, my eyes are old and my demeanor is jaded. Not good. With Patti, I find that people look forward to her fresh and refreshing tone of voice - well worth the dollars that she charges AND she does the job quicker than I can! Perhaps you could find a 'Patti' in your area? One thing that I will stress, Ron...... please don't ever consider stomach stapling. I have lost a couple of friends and one family member to that operation - the risks are too high. My best wishes are with you and PM me at any time..... it would be a pleasure to chat with you! :) A > Ronald Hunter wrote: > The first is a problem because I must get at least 10 calls a day from people trying to sell me something. So, Ron...I hear two problems. Which one bothers you most?

Re: bothering someone. Are you? Why do you think you might be? How might you defuse that issue?

Re: losing words because of your stroke. It sounds like your speaking off the cuff. Is that true? If so, is there an alternative to that? Is there an alternative to you doing the calling? Is there an alternative to calling over the phone?
